DentalER
Our story

Born from a simple, urgent message

DentalER started as a grassroots call from working dentists and grew into an ongoing public-awareness initiative. The idea was never complicated: dental emergencies belong with dental professionals, and hospital ERs should stay free for the cases only they can handle.

What we believe

A cracked tooth at midnight or a throbbing abscess can feel like a true crisis — and the pain is real. But the emergency room, for all its strengths, is not designed to fix teeth. People deserve to know that before they spend hours in a waiting room and leave with the problem unsolved.

We translate that gap into clear, calm guidance. No jargon, no fear — just a straight answer about where to go and what to do first, so the right care happens sooner.

  • Plain-language guidance anyone can act on under stress.
  • Respect for the real strain on emergency departments.
  • A focus on definitive care, not just temporary relief.
  • Public service over self-promotion.
Our north star

Right place, right time.

Every avoidable dental visit kept out of an emergency room is a small win for two people at once — the patient who finally gets their tooth treated, and the stranger in the next bay who needs that bed for something life-threatening.

That is the whole mission, repeated one decision at a time.

How it works

An idea that travels well

DentalER isn't a clinic or a hotline. It's a message — designed to be shared by anyone who understands why it matters.

Clear information

We keep the guidance short, accurate, and easy to recall — the kind of thing you can act on at 2am without scrolling through a textbook.

Community voices

Dentists, hygienists, and patients carry the message into their own networks. A trusted local voice beats any advertisement.

Shared benefit

Patients get faster, more effective treatment. Hospitals reclaim capacity. The whole system runs a little smoother for everyone.

Stand behind the message

If you're a dental professional or simply someone who gets it, we'd love your help carrying this further.
